We are delighted to announce the appointment of James Martin to our Land Agency and Professional Services team, after having completed his Masters Degree in Rural Estate Management at the University of Aberdeen.

James grew up in Cumbria and attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, just around the corner from our Penrith office. After moving away to study, both down in Bath and up in Aberdeen, James has now moved back to the area and lives in Brampton and will be working out of both our Carlisle and Penrith offices.

James described his first few weeks with the company as "exciting and fast paced", he also thanked the whole team for being so welcoming and eager to help him settle in. He emphasised that he has especially enjoyed "getting to know clients and their beautiful properties that PFK help to manage and maintain". James believes that his time away from Cumbria has reinforced his connection with the area and he is grateful to have the opportunity to work and re-establish roots in the county that he has always called home.

James is working towards his professional qualifications with the RICS and the CAAV. He is looking forward to using the knowledge that he is gaining as part of these qualifications to best advise PFK clients on how to make the most of the changes that are happening in the agricultural sector.

PFK Head of Land Agency, David Stout commented "James' enthusiasm for gaining knowledge of the challenges currently facing agriculture, with the transition away from direct subsidies, is already apparent. This is both timely and welcome as we look to strengthen our team and the services we provide to our client base."
