Originally from Carlisle, David attended Sedbergh School before going on to read Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester; qualifying as a chartered surveyor in 1985 whilst working on the Buccleuch Estate, Langholm.

Following stints with Fisher Hoggarth in Market Harborough and as a Resident Agent on a large estate in Gloucestershire, he joined Smiths Gore in 1998. Originally based in their Lichfield office he went on to open and lead the Cirencester office in 2006. He was promoted in status to equity partner in 2008.

David returned to his native Cumbria in 2011 operating his own private consultancy before taking the opportunity to join PFK. David brings a wealth of experience in estate and property management for both the public and private sector, and is looking forward to furthering and expanding the company’s Land Agency department. He is passionate about providing high quality professional services to existing and future clients.

David commented, “PFK is undergoing a major expansion and it seemed the perfect time to assist in that process whilst driving the Land Agency department forward. We have a great team which can only bode well for the future, and I have every confidence that this will achieve collective success for the company”

Outside of work David is currently Head Coach at Carlisle RFC, sings in a choir and enjoys shooting, fishing and golf.
